All these oils are specifically chosen because of their natural sun protection capabilities and their ability to help heal your skin. Using Ink Zinc is like using a moisturizing lotion and a sun protection lotion at the same time!

Ink Zinc is NOT just for tattoos. This natural sun protection product is ideal FOR ALL SKIN TYPES!!! Ink Zinc is made of 25% non-nano, non coated Zinc, which means it will not penetrate the dermal layer. The zinc we use is the highest quality sun protection ingredient and will help to protect your skin from UVA and UVB rays. This is not an FDA rated SPF product as we chose not to pay the $20k FDA testing fee for sunscreens. The percentage of zinc in the formula is what creates the actual sun protection.

Aside from non-nano zinc, Ink Zinc is made up of raw organic shea butter, organic fair trade cocoa butter, organic cold-processed coconut oil, organic argan oil, organic hazelnut oil, organic pomegranate seed oil, organic black seed oil, and organic beeswax. There are no chemical binders or stabilizers in this product, which means that when applied to warm skin it will glide right on.

Ink Zinc should be applied before any outdoor activity. Because this is a physical sun blocking agent, and not a chemical based product, it will leave a faint white sheen on your skin and it will take a few minutes to soak in. Apply a thin layer about 20 minutes before going into water to allow time to penetrate.

Once out of the water, you may need to re-apply. You can tell if the Ink Zinc is still working by checking to see if water still beads up on your skin. Again, this is a physical agent, so a little more re-application may be necessary, but it is well worth not having chemical sun blocking agents on your skin.

At the end of the day, make sure to wash Ink Zinc off your skin. If you have a brand new or healing tattoo, do not use Ink Zinc. You need to wear some kind of covering over your new tattoo to protect it from the sun, rather than applying a sunscreen. Once your tattoo is healed, Ink Zinc will help to keep the colors vibrant and will protect your work of art.
