Daily! That is how you use it! I have friends with no tattoos at all and they swear by Susie Q Ink Oil and Ink Salve. Ink Oil is truly an amazing product. Body and face oils are all the rage now in skin care products and Susie Q Ink Oil is leading the way. The four essential oils (Blue Tansy, Helichrysum, Galbanum and Turmeric) are very powerful in their anti-oxidation (the true cause of aging) and skin benefits.
As a Make-up Remover - Susie Q Ink Oil gently cleanses your eye area and helps to re-hydrate and stimulate skin cells. Use one pump in your fingers, then apply. Follow with a dry scrub or gentle cleanser and pat dry. You will feel and see the amazing suppleness around your eyes.
As an After-Sun Spray - Use for amazing cooling, calming, and anti-inflammation properties. The oils will calm and soothe the parched skin and the essential oils will help to reduce swelling and pain. Saturate entire sun-drenched skin in the shower. Do not wash off. I use this as my last step in the shower, and I no longer use body lotion!
As a Pet Spray - Key essential oils in our products help ward off bugs and help soothe bites and heated skin. Spray Ink Oil in your hands and massage into your pet’s skin. The natural oils and butters will help make their coat and skin shiny and healthy. The essential oils will help ward off future bug bites and will take the sting and itch out of current ones. Ink Salve can be applied to foot pads that have walked on hot pavement, and they can also be used on cuts and open wounds.
As a Foot Balm - Do you have tired, dry, or cracked feet? Susie Q Ink Salve will make them feel better. It is amazing on dry skin! Apply nightly before bed (again, a thin layer is all you need.). If you want more intense moisture, just put some socks on after applying, and let sit for a while. Not only will your feet feel better, but they will smell so good!
For Dry Skin - If you have dry skin, no matter how severe, Susie Q Ink Oil and Ink Salve can help. Use Ink Oil daily in the shower. If you have serious dry patches, psoriasis, and even wounds that just won’t heal, use Ink Oil on those areas before you use soap, and then re-apply again before you towel off. The oils will create a barrier on your skin (think Rain-X on your windshield...), and will keep the soap from stripping those areas. That is why it works so well to help promote healing on tattoos. Tattoos are just open wounds. Purposely inflicted open wounds, but still wounds. Stripping the natural sebum off your skin will not help heal any wound. Ink Oil applied in the shower will help skin feel better and appear more hydrated. Ink Salve should be carried with you everywhere, and when your skin feels tight and dry, apply to help soothe.
As a Hair and Beard Oil - Calling all my bearded friends! Susie Q Ink Oil makes an excellent hair and beard oil! My man uses it on his goatee daily to prevent dryness and flakiness. Other friends with massive beards use to help kill bacteria in their beards, to keep them shiny and manageable, and smelling great. One pump is all you need to treat your beard daily. It is also great on unruly hair and super-dry hair. When I go for long rides on my motorcycle, I apply Ink Oil before putting up my hair. This protects it from the wind and elements, and makes it much easier to manage once we stop.
When Shaving - Oh yes…you can use Ink Oil to shave with AND to help reduce shaving bumps! Face, legs - you can use Ink Oil it anywhere on the body you shave.
For Dry Hands - Do you wash your hands repeatedly during work? Ink Oil is a great after-wash step to help moisturize without leaving greasy residue. I have many friends in the food industry and in the healthcare industry that were tired of constantly battling dry, itchy, and parched hands. So now they wash and follow up with our Ink Oil. At the end of their day, they apply our Ink Salve to allow for extra hydration. Any place on your body that is dry can benefit from Ink Oil and Ink Salve.
